How we fetch — and how you can verify
Honest user-agent. Every request identifies itself as EdgeStat/1.0 — we never masquerade as a browser to scrape harder, and when a provider blocks us (as PrizePicks did) the affected boards go dark and say why instead of silently serving stale data.
Every number on this site traces to a public JSON artifact you can open yourself. The pipeline commits its outputs to the same repository that serves the site — for example espn_odds.json (the raw book lines), all_picks_ledger.json (the full settled pick ledger behind the track record), alpha_v2_selections.json (the append-only Alpha pick locks — published days can never be rewritten), mlb_dfs.json / nfl_dfs.json (DFS projections with per-player source links), and recalibration_map.json (the family calibration evidence). If a page claims it, the artifact shows it.
Our own work
All models, ELO/Glicko ratings, Monte Carlo simulators, projections, calibration, and the settled track record are produced by EdgeStat's own code from the inputs above. We do not resell raw third-party data; we publish derived analytics. See our Methodology and Calibration.
Commercial licensing
Several feeds above are public endpoints used under their respective terms. As EdgeStat transitions to a commercial offering, official/licensed data agreements (for odds and official league data) are being put in place to ensure full compliance and reliability.
